How do I maintain the WoodBook?
The WoodBook is sealed with an oil, which protects it from moisture. The seal makes it durable for several years.
Which wood is used?
Jungholz uses wood from a German veneer supplier. Here they have a certificate from the German Environmental Agency, which certifies that the wood does not come from endangered stocks. The core of the WoodBook material is beech wood from the Hessian forest.
Which paper is used?
Jungholz uses FSC-certified paper, which is made of 100% recycled paper (Blue Angel certificate), yet is brilliant white.
How durable is the WoodBook?
The wood is resistant to moisture because it is sealed with a wood oil. The hinge is designed so that it will never break when opening and closing. In addition, small textile patches are glued in for many years of durability.
